Automata — Art Cars

Automata are sculptures of imaginary, somewhat fantastic cars, that are loosely based on exotic cars of the ’30’s Deco Period.  Most are around 15” long and made of wood, metal, and materials not associated with cars, such as velvet and ivory.  They have no provision for passengers and are designed as pure machines.

 Imaginary maquettes,  the series concept is that these “Automata” might become full scale and cruise urban areas controlled by computer programs — like drones. But, they would be  for the viewing pleasure of passing onlookers.
